Improvement Meme: 2003-2016

In lieu of a proper, festive picture this holiday season I thought I'd upload this year's improvement a little early, since I'll be on holiday and I doubt I'll be getting any new drawings done.

I wound up remaking most of this from scratch (thank you, harddrive death) and changed up some of the commentary and pictures to better represent my improvement (I hope!) over the years. Also to show more of the variety of mediums and styles I used to experiment in, all while trying to figure out which best worked for me. I wish I could show you guys some of the stuff I've been doing on at work, since it's where most of my energy goes these days, and it involves working in a completely different style than my usual. Alas, I must curb my enthusiasm, perhaps in a few years.

I hope this is more inspiring than discouraging for the budding artists out there; we all start somewhere. The key to success in any field is practice, practice and passion. Keep drawing, keep encouraging others, and regardless of the shitstorm 2016 has turned out to be I hope everyone manages to find a little happiness this holiday season.
