"I got wasted and then jumped off a flying, rainbow snake!"
-- Tommy

After a five-hour roleplay session of the PnP 'Tales From the Floating Vagabond' I'm really starting to feel sorry for the boys. Grubby buses, Mortis the chess-playing horse, a nosey salesman whose themesong followed him around, flying air coaches that made them throw up, and bullying each other into carrying the dead deer for dinner.

Middle right: Poor Tommy! *sniff sniff*
Is there any possible way to follow this PnP thing without actually being in it? I want to know what's going on!

Gadget's reminding me of Miguel, but it's probably his proximity to a dark-haired, ponytailed man. Also I am in love with the Quetz-Air-Coachl, untzing along. Love.

Love the pony but even my body started to hurt when I saw the pic of Tommy pointing the gun at Gadget's testicles.

I'd like to start a D&D group (yes, I am that much nerd) so I can be inspired to draw original characters in scenarios. OK, I don't need the group for that but it's a good excuse. Great pic's, I love the fantasy setting in the 30's, gives these guys a unique look.

:wow: What the hell is going on between Gadget and Tommy?
Seriously can you and Gelly not go for any amount of time WITHOUT nearly killing each other?

And how the heck do you use those HTML things?

Apparently not. We're working to change that. Tommy's actually an okay team player, given how he's used to working together with a mob. It's Gadget that's the problem ...

I learned from Neopet's basic HTML guide. :O

Oh... I've had those mornings. Ironically they've also involved ending up in Mexico (and even funnier - I live in NY), but mine was more the hang over quickly fading to the sound of a prop engine and my buddy zipping me into a jump suit.
-_-
What is it about Mexico and Vegas? Why do people randomly wake up there in that condition? Why? LOL Love the sketches too.

I can safely say I've never been in that position, because I just despise the taste of alcohol. At New Years parties I bring my own Bacardi Breezers and sit in the corner drinking my "pussy drinks", as my friends call it. =P

Default intimidate of 7... not to shabby. (Had a lvl 3 half-dragon who's default was 22.... but half dragons are excused. XD)

I love the Qutzalcoatl (ok never typing that again, I just broke my brain.) it looks very.. fluid (and kind of reminds me of the gigant flying serpent/whale/whatever things you could see around Aion)... but it's sound effect seems pretty odd.. and amuses me a lot. XD

7 for a beginning character is very good in Vagabond, considering the dice rules are different from most PnPs I've heard about. In Vagabond a 1 is a critical success, and a 20 would be a failure. The goal is to roll a number equal to or under your skill level, which on a normal roll 7/10 is not too shabby at all. I believe Tommy's is 6, but that's with the +2 his gun gives him.

The sound effects are because once Tommy and Gadget got hammered they turned the place into a disco and did the Carameldansen.

Ahh... that is a slightly awkward system (sounds like someone took a d20 system and merged it with the d100.), but yhea sounds like a 7 is very good then.

I play good old Dungeons and Dragons myself (3.5 and sometimes Pathfinder) so it works in the exact opposite way, 1 is a critical failure, 20 is a critical success. Meaning a character would have to have a +2 on his will save and still roll a 20 to not get intimidated. ^^;

We have d100 as well, which is called the "Nigh Impossible" roll, and thankfully we haven't run into any Nigh Impossible instances yet.

I made Tommy's aim and proficiency with guns and "really big guns" so high that on a normal roll (d10) he's an automatic 11 ... AKA: unless his opponent is VERY far or has some dodge/ducking abilities, they're toast.

Your system sound... frustrating. o.O' (then again anything involving d100's either frustrates me or scares me... XD)

Gotta love builds that pretty much means you can't miss. Got one of those myself, but at Epic levels in dungeons and dragons it's expected. (She more or less can't miss, she is pretty much guaranteed at least one critical hit per full attack round. And oh yhea, her Armor Class is nearly devine. (I love dodge, ok XD))

But yhea... Your system sounds pretty complex.. and coming from a D&D 3.5 player that says something. (Okay mine isn't complex per say.. it's just a massive, lumbering monstrosity of rules and books.)

Ours is hardly complex. d6 is an easy roll, usually just for actions and such (6 means you're an expert at something action-wise, hence Tommy's aim is 6; 2 is your average Joe). d10 is normal, d20 is difficult, etc. etc. But instead of a 20 being an automatic success, it's a critical failure because it's as far as possible from your stat range.

Nice I love the bottom right picture the most :D True friendship is when you point a weapon at your friends lower extremities and laugh about about it later when your all very drunk...

Passing out in your own vomit is never fun :( Well I can imagine it isn''t, I've never done it. In conclusion, drinking is bad for your liver and other squishy stuff in your body. >:D

Well there isn't much laughing between the three of them yet. Frankly they're all still stuck in the awkward "what am I doing here and how do I get out?!" phase.

I've never gotten drunk, either. Wew! ... I'm a cheat, though, I hate alcohol.

Didn't you already, when you got to laugh at me flapping my arms around in terror dangling 20 meters above the ground in the canopy of that tree!?! Or did smearing my puke-shirt all over you afterwards cancel that out? (Which, by the way, I don't think you washed off like I did ...)

In any case Mr. Black got me back for it.
