WARNING: OLD ART!! The art and comments in this Deviation may no longer represent the artist's current views or interests.

Seven months, two pens, and copious amounts of Alice Cooper later I finally managed to finish this mammoth of a comic.

I've drawn a lot of gag comics with a decidedly out of character Malfatto, and wanted to try and draw something that depicted him more as how I imagine him canonically. The aim was to create a comic that could read without words, and I wanted to leave it open ended so people can come to their own conclusions of what happens to Faustina, what his intentions were, and whether or not it was all a dream in the first place.

Respect! Great work, I really love your stile.
But except of your stile I even like the way you presented Malfatto!! He is my totally favorite character. For me he is a calculating scientist who is obsessed by his work and do not care to kill for his passion. But beside this he still has some feelings left, even if he doesn't show them, why he always appears like a emotionless monster.
Somehow your work totally depicted my imagination of him.

This is beautiful work! I love how much detail and hard work you put into it! :) When I grow up, I wanna be as talented as you. :( (Says the person turning eighteen in two months. -_-)

This is astounding. You put in so much detail, and yet the story flows seamlessly. Your environments are exquisite, your characters consistent, and your page design immaculate. More than this, the artwork combined with the story produces a thrill in the reader. This alone would get you any narrative art job you want. And it is (shockingly) not even the best work in your gallery.
Bravo. Bravo.

Nice song, thanks for sharing!

The title is actually borrowed from Alice Cooper's song, which was partially the inspiration for the comic: [link]

WOW. This is one of the most amazing things I've seen in a long time. You said you wanted to do a comic that could be read without words and you did more than suceed at it. You excelled! There's just something about your style and the flow of the panels, and especially their poses and expressions that bring the whole atmopshere to life! Malfatto looks horrifying and sinister - I sure as hell wouldn't want to be in Faustina's shoes here *shudders* - but at the same time, you've managed to give him this disturbing sense of coolness, maybe even mystery.

Amazing work all the way around, so bravo, amica mia!

This was undeniably magnificent! It's very detailed with all the shades and stripes of the buildings, clothes and gosh, everything. This is an interesting comic strip. IF there are more, would you be kind enough to release them. I'm already dying to know what happens next...if there is any more.

Anyway, another great job on another great work!

Ah, darn it! Oh, well. But I've checked out your gallery and saw other works with Malfatto and Faustina. I'll go and take another look... :)
ClownWaltz Featured By Owner Mar 30, 2012  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Oh, yes! I've of forgotten to ask you; what era are Malfatto and Faustina in. To me it seems as if they are in a medieval times, no?

I would assume, because of the styling of the clothes. Especially the clothes that Malfatto is wearing.

Perhaps it's my inner pervert, and my inner Malfatto lover, but I like to think he had his way with her after the black out ;)
Amazing comic, seriously, I love how there's no need for text at all <3
LadyVe Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2012
Either it was a really bad nightmare or Malfatto didn't want her to snitch on the location of his hideout, so he drugged her and dumped her on the other wise of town to freak her out and throw her off. That'd be my guess. XD
I'm kind of fascinated with Malfatto; all we know about him is from his (would-be) victims and we just have to take their word for it. We never really figure out whether he is truly a misogynistic psychopath or some poor sod (an actual doctor perhaps?) that Cesare somehow manipulated into specifically killing the prostitutes of an Assassin-affiliated brothel. I guess that's why he's my favorite character: lots of fun stuff to guess about. Seraffo in AC:R just felt like a cheap knock-off with a far less interesting story in comparison (and this comment is getting way too long). Either way, awesome comic; this is going in favorites. :)
